Pizza is one of the most famous dishes in the world and it is a symbol of Italian culture. The pizza-making tradition has become a real art specifically in the city of Naples. Its basic formula for baked flatbread with toppings has been recognized by UNESCO’s World Heritage.

VISH pizza-making course is divided in two levels and the students can decide how to improve their professional skills and career. During the Certificate Course (level one), the students will be learning the fundamentals and basic techniques of pizza; but applying for the Diploma Course means to acquire the necessary skills and professional techniques to be qualified as professional chefs in the pizza industry.

VISH pizza-making course is addressed to the students who wish to obtain a good technical training and adequate skills to have strong basis for undertake a professional activity of pizza maker.

The course, therefore, is aimed at those who want to gain a qualification of pizza maker to pursue a professional career in the catering sector. The students who desire to apply this course must have completed the compulsory education and must have the aptitude and passion for pizza and leavened products.

DIPLOMA COURSES

If you wish to enroll in a direct entry (Second Year) for our Diploma program you must also qualify to be able to enter in the level by:

  • Submitting a detailed curriculum vitae specifying any professional experience in the field of desired Diploma program (a minimum of 6 months experience is necessary) and academic transcripts
  • Submitting educational transcripts
  • Passing an entry examination upon arrival in Naples

Or sending an official undergraduate transcript reflecting courses in the field of the desired Certificate along with the grades you received in those courses.

VISH offers intensive Pizza-Maker courses that focus on the theoretical and practical training of high-level professional pizzaioli. The course lasts 90 hours. During this course students will be working side by side with professional pizza-makers. The practical aspect of the profession, will naturally reinforce the necessary theoretical framework. Students will be learning by watching and partaking in the “daily work” of the pizzeria and will be able to acquire quickly the craft and secrets of pizza making. Students who pass their practical exam after completing the 90 hours intensive course, will receive Certificate of Attendance.

  • Indirect Dough
  • Final Test
